Mine Eyes Have Seen: Bearing Witness to the Struggle for Civil Rights by Bob Adelman

This book is breathtaking. It is an eye opener of what all blacks had to deal with in the past and are still dealing with in the present right along with other cultures. Martin Luther King and the Civil Rights movement opened a lot of doors for African Americans and other minorities. We all need to remenber that and keep his and our dreams alive everyday. A big must read!

The Shack by William Young

I really enjoyed reading The Shack. This work deals with spiritual issues. William Young has done a great job portraying The Trinity in human form. Some of the book’s sensitive events are difficult to read at times. Mack, the main character wrestles with his relationship with God throughout the book. I strongly recommend it.
